About

I am trying to build a public notebook for the person I am becoming.

My name is Yassine Benomar, and I'm a software builder, systems thinker, and writer. I'm interested in software, systems, security, artificial intelligence, design, and the way ideas shape how people think and build.

Concept

I'll start by saying that trying to summarize yourself on an About page is harder than it looks. It forces you to ask what you actually care about, what you keep returning to, and what kind of person you are becoming.

I started this site in 2025 as a place to collect writing, projects, ideas, predictions, and notes. Over time, I want it to become less like a portfolio and more like a living map of what I am learning and building.

Most people treat personal websites as static profiles. I want this one to be different. I want it to be a working notebook in public — a place where I can organize what I learn, connect ideas in the Pensieve, share what I build, and return to the things that shape my thinking.

Interests

My interests, and therefore the content on this site, drift toward the following:

Software:Building tools, interfaces, and systems that solve real problems and make ideas easier to use.

Systems:Understanding how different parts connect, how complexity grows, and how small decisions shape the behavior of a whole project.

Artificial Intelligence:Exploring how intelligent tools change learning, creativity, work, and the way people build software.

Cybersecurity:Thinking about trust, failure modes, assumptions, and how systems break when people design them carelessly.

Knowledge Systems:Designing ways to capture, connect, and return to ideas instead of losing them across notebooks, chats, tabs, and files.

Design:Making interfaces that feel calm, clear, intentional, and useful instead of noisy or generic.

Philosophy:Asking deeper questions about meaning, identity, attention, technology, and how people understand the world.

Writing:Turning confusion into something clear enough to share.

Future:Thinking about where technology, AI, education, work, and human behavior might be heading.

Concept Mapping:Finding connections between ideas, people, books, projects, and notes — and turning those connections into something useful.
